ALPHABET SOUP ALLYSHIP: BEING GOOD ALLIES AND STRONG ADVOCATES FOR LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE

The past few years have seen many organizations incorporate a focus on LGBTQIA+ inclusion within their HR and DE&I strategies, with many employers making visible and vocal commitments both within their organizations and externally through support of Pride events and beyond. While this is a positive move, what’s still missing are efforts to impact the lived experience of LGBTQIA+ employees when it comes to their “everyday” experience in the workplace.

A 2022 Deloitte Pulse Survey reported many LGBTQIA+ employees continue to experience non-inclusive behaviors, both in the office and virtually, while 82% believe allyship helps them be out at work. Join Gabrielle Claiborne to uncover barriers to inclusion of LGBTQIA+ employees in the workplace and identify actions we can all take to create change to the everyday culture they experience.
